Lillehammer DC2294BL Outdoor Wall Light, Black, 24 V DC, LED 3.6 W 2700 K NORLYS

The Lillehammer DC2294BL is a cuboid outdoor wall light that casts a narrow, four-degree beam downwards. The cast-aluminium body is powder-coated black, and the light opening is closed with optical safety glass. The fitting runs on a low 24 V DC supply and has a built-in 3.6 W LED module at 2700 K.

Size and mounting

The light is 18.5 cm high and 8 cm wide, projects 11 cm from the wall and weighs 1.57 kg. It is fixed with two screws through ø5 mm holes spaced 45 × 130 mm apart. The terminals take cable up to 2 × 2.5 mm² and let you loop the supply on to the next fitting with cable up to 2 × 1.5 mm², and the cable gland seals cable with a diameter of 7–10.5 mm.

24 V DC supply

The fitting is not connected directly to 230 V mains. It needs an external voltage-stabilised 24 V DC power supply, which is not included; the manufacturer specifies that the supply is chosen and the installation carried out by a qualified person. This is a protection class III fitting running on safety extra-low voltage, so it needs no protective earth conductor. The LED module is suitable for dimming — how it is controlled depends on the power supply and the installation design.

What light it gives

A 4° angle means a very narrow beam: the light draws a thin, sharp line on the wall below the fitting instead of lighting a wide surface. That is why the manufacturer gives only 15 lm for the whole fitting at a luminous intensity of 370 cd, although the LED module itself produces 512 lm. It is an accent on the façade, not lighting for a path or driveway. 2700 K is warm, slightly yellowish light. Nothing shines upwards (ULOR 0%), so the fitting sends no light into the night sky.

The LED module is included and built in — it is replaced by a professional service, and the manufacturer offers service kit ZN2294 for this. The manufacturer rates the module at more than 52,600 h at L90 and more than 102,000 h at L80.

Outdoors

IP65 means the fitting is dust-tight and resists water jets, so it can hang on a wall without a roof overhang. IK08 impact resistance protects the glass and body from accidental knocks. The plain, unornamented form suits modern, minimalist and Scandinavian architecture.
