Lucide Marius ceiling light, 3×E27, black metal and smoke-grey glass, 50 cm, 74114/03/30

Lucide Marius 74114/03/30 is a three-light ceiling fitting with smoke-grey glass globes beneath a round black metal ceiling plate. The bulbs remain visible through the glass, so the separately chosen light sources also contribute to its appearance. This is the ceiling-mounted version, not a pendant with cables hanging down into the room.

Allow for the full width and projection

The complete fitting measures 50 × 50 cm and projects 24.5 cm below the ceiling. Each glass shade is 20 cm in diameter and 18 cm high. The manufacturer's drawing also shows a ceiling plate measuring 40 cm across. When checking the available space, use the overall footprint rather than the size of one globe or the metal plate alone.

There is no height adjustment. Marius offers an alternative to a long pendant where you want the light grouped close to the ceiling, but its 24.5 cm projection still needs to be considered near tall doors or fitted furniture. Its non-directional arrangement suits general lighting in a living room, bedroom, hallway, dining room or a kitchen away from damp locations. It is not an adjustable task spotlight.

Choose three E27 bulbs separately

The fitting takes three replaceable E27 bulbs, which are not included. The maximum permitted rating is 60 W per bulb. This is a limit for each socket, not a fixed running consumption or the output of an integrated LED module. Brightness, colour temperature and energy use depend on your chosen bulbs, so compare their lumen ratings with the lighting you need.

Bulb shape matters because the glass leaves the sources on view. The decorative filaments shown in the photographs illustrate a possible setup rather than supplied bulbs. Dimming requires dimmable bulbs and compatible control equipment; the fitting alone does not make every bulb dimmable. Operation is through the installation's light switch. The manufacturer's instructions call for electrical installation by a qualified electrician.

A repeated globe shape in smoke glass

Three rounded glass forms against a flat circular plate give Marius its modern geometric composition. The smoke-grey glass allows a view into the shades instead of hiding the bulbs behind an opaque surface. The black metal base can relate to other black metal details in the room, while the fixed ceiling arrangement keeps the composition together rather than spreading it along separate suspension cables.
