RITMO is a three-head ceiling light from Lucide: a round black ceiling plate 18 cm across carrying three cylindrical spots in coffee brown, 4 cm in diameter and 7.7 cm long. The aluminium is brushed, so the surface carries a fine directional grain. Each head rotates and tilts, and the light is aimed downwards.
How much ceiling it takes
The plate covers a circle 18 cm across and stands 1.8 cm off the ceiling; the whole fitting measures 11.1 cm in height with the heads upright and 7 cm with them laid flat. The manufacturer notes that the height cannot be changed in any other way than by setting the heads.
The fitting weighs 0.58 kg and the mounting hardware is included. It is electric class 1, so an earth conductor has to be present in the box. It is intended for indoor use only.
Which bulbs to buy
Each head takes a GU10 lampholder on the 230 V mains, with a maximum of 35 W per spot. That limit dates from the halogen era — GU10 LEDs stay far below it. No bulbs are supplied, so you choose the colour and brightness yourself.
Size matters here: the heads are 4 cm across and take the narrower lamps in the MR11 format, not the usual 50 mm GU10 reflector. Lucide names its own lamp 49094/04/30 for this fitting. The fitting has no electronics of its own — to dim it you need lamps marked as dimmable and a dimmer in the circuit.
Where a fitting like this works
Three independently aimed beams light three different places from one point on the ceiling — the worktop in the kitchen, the shelving in the living room, the desk in the study. The manufacturer intends RITMO for the living room, the kitchen, the entrance hall and the corridor, and for the office and the study.
The form is modern and free of ornament: cylinders and a flat disc. The coffee brown of the heads is set against the black ceiling plate, so the fitting reads differently from the usual black or white spot. The manufacturer gives a two-year warranty.
