MONO 7783 is a three-light ceiling spot bar: a flat black bar 70 cm long carrying three brass cylinders 5.5 cm across and 10.5 cm long. Each head turns and tilts independently of the others.
How big it is and how it is aimed
The bar itself is 70 x 4 x 2 cm and sits flat against the ceiling, but the outline of the fitting changes with the heads: the manufacturer gives 70-84 cm long, 5.5-20 cm wide and 8-13 cm high. The upper figures are the heads swung out to the sides, the lower ones the heads pointing straight down.
That is what to plan the space around: over a narrow worktop or in a hallway, leaving about 20 cm of side clearance lets the heads be turned where the light is wanted. An Allen key for setting and locking the heads is supplied with the fitting.
What lamps it takes
Each head holds a GU10 lampholder in the R50 format, that is the usual 50 mm envelope. Wider ES111 reflectors do not fit this housing, so the lamps are bought in the standard GU10 size.
Lamps are not included and are replaceable. The manufacturer allows at most 10 W per light point and LED lamps only - a closed metal cylinder cannot shed the heat of a halogen. The three points form one switched section, so they come on and go off together on a single switch.
Fitting it and what is in the box
The bar is fixed to the ceiling on a set of brackets, which is in the box together with the mounting instructions and the Allen key. The whole bar weighs 1.15 kg, 1.29 kg with packaging, so an ordinary ceiling fixing carries it.
The fitting is protection class I, so the box behind the bar has to carry an earth conductor. The manufacturer intends it for indoor use only. The body is black painted steel, the heads solid brass, the end pieces ABS plastic.
