Moss DC6163BL Outdoor Spotlight LED 6.8W 24V DC 3000K Black - Norlys

Moss DC6163BL is a small black outdoor spotlight for wall or ceiling mounting. Its cylindrical head, 8 cm in diameter, sits on a curved bracket, so the beam can be aimed vertically as well as sideways. The body is powder-coated cast aluminium and the front is closed with clear safety glass.

24 V DC supply and what you need to buy

The spotlight runs on 24 V direct current, so it cannot be connected straight to the 230 V mains. It needs an external constant-voltage power supply, which is not included. Norlys specifies that the supply is chosen and the installation carried out by a qualified electrician. The luminaire is protection class III, meaning it operates at safe extra-low voltage.

The wires are joined with a 3M Scotchlok 316IR connector that takes two conductors of 0.5–1.5 mm² without stripping the insulation. The LED module is suitable for dimming, with brightness controlled on the supply side according to the installation design. The module can only be replaced by Norlys professional service.

What kind of light it gives

Drawing 6.8 W, the luminaire delivers 687 lm at 3000 K, a warm white. The beam is symmetrical with a 36° angle and a peak intensity of 1600 cd, so the spotlight does not flood its surroundings but draws a defined pool of light. According to the manufacturer's data sheet, that pool is about 0.6 m across at 1 m, about 1.3 m at 2 m and about 1.9 m at 3 m — figures to compare with the tree trunk, stretch of wall or house number you want to light.

Norlys states an L90B10 lifetime of over 135,500 hours: after that time the module still delivers at least 90% of its initial luminous flux.

Where and how to mount it

IP65 means the housing is dust-tight and protected against water jets, so the spotlight can work outdoors without a canopy, while the IK06 rating protects it from light knocks. Norlys designed it for lighting gardens, private grounds and facades. It is fixed through two oval 5 × 10 mm holes spaced 40 mm apart. Including the bracket it is 13.2 cm long and weighs 0.4 kg. Clamps 6434, 6435 and 6436, mounting adapter 6729 and junction box 145 are sold separately.
