The Asker 5222GB is a three-metre lighting column with an LED luminaire built permanently into its top. The body is a painted aluminium profile in grey-beige, assembled from two segments, and the 24 x 48.5 cm head is cantilevered to one side.
How tall it is and what it stands on
The column measures 300 cm — a figure to hold against the height of the fence or eaves it will stand beside, because the mounting height decides how wide an area the light reaches. The complete column weighs 10 kg and the parcel 11 kg.
The base plate has four holes for M14 studs on a 180 x 180 mm pattern and is designed for a B50 concrete foundation. Neither the foundation nor the anchors are part of the delivery: the maker lists them as separate articles (ground anchor 180, cast-in anchor 3091, mounting adapter 1259) and states that remaining accessories are bought separately.
How much light it gives and how it spreads it
The luminaire delivers 2667 lm at 3000 K, meaning warm, slightly yellow light. A Ledil VSM lens spreads it symmetrically all round the column (IESNA type V), so it lights the area around the pole rather than a narrow strip along a road: that optic belongs in the middle of a yard or a path junction. One per cent of the flux escapes upwards and the BUG rating is B2-U2-G1.
Colour rendering is Ra 70 and colour consistency SDCM5. The LED is built in and cannot be replaced; the maker quotes a life of 100,000 hours.
Control and wiring
The luminaire runs on DALI2 and supports NightDim, so brightness can be lowered through the night instead of switching the light off. The whole fitting draws 19.5 W, of which 16.8 W is the LED module itself; power factor is PF 0.99 and luminaire efficacy 136.8 lm/W.
Supply is 220–240 V. The terminals take conductors up to 5 x 2.5 mm² and allow the column to be looped, carrying the supply on to the next point without a separate junction box; the cable should have a round sheath 8–12 or 10–13.6 mm across. The fitting is protection class I, so it has to be connected to an earth conductor.
How it stands up outdoors
IP65 means fully dust-tight and resistant to water jets, and IK08 means resistance to a 5 J impact, which matters for a column standing beside a road or on a car park.
The maker gives a rated ambient temperature of +25 °C and a working range of -20 to +45 °C, so the column is intended for year-round outdoor service.
