Astrid 2206BL is a garden bollard light with a slim, square body made of powder-coated aluminium profile in black. The light leaves through an opal PMMA cover in the upper part of the bollard. The fitting stands 55 cm tall on a 14 × 14 cm footprint.
How it lights and how it dims
The built-in LED module draws 10.6 W and 202 lm leave the luminaire. That is a brightness for marking a route, not for lighting a whole driveway. The opal cover spreads the light sideways, so the bollard leads the path along its full length instead of lighting a single spot.
4000 K is neutral white: cooler than incandescent light and easy to read on paving and on steps. The luminaire phase-dims on both edges — TRAILING EDGE (TE) and LEADING EDGE (LE) — so it works with a newer RC dimmer as well as with an older R/RL one. A dimmer is not supplied.
Mounting and what you have to buy as well
The base is fixed through three ø9 mm holes set every 120° on a ø65 mm circle. Norlys supplies no foundation with the luminaire — the concreting anchor, ground anchor, concrete-foundation adapter and mounting adapter are bought separately, so what the bollard will stand on has to be settled at the time of ordering.
The luminaire is protection class I, so the earth conductor has to be connected. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow further luminaires to be looped through. IP65 permits operation with nothing overhead, in rain and in dust.
Construction
The column is extruded aluminium, powder-coated in black RAL 9005, and the cable entry is sealed with an EPDM gland. Astrid comes in eight finishes in this size, so several bollards along one path can be matched in a single shade.
