The Norlys Bologna 3025WH is a pole-mounted light with a clear globe diffuser set on a curved arm. The body and arm are cast aluminium, powder-coated white (RAL 9003), and the globe is clear PMMA. This is the luminaire on its own – the pole and the part it fixes to are ordered separately.
How it is installed
The arm bolts to the side of the Bologna 3040 terminal, which slides onto the Norlys 3010 lighting pole of 50 mm diameter. Two of these heads on one pole make the Bologna 362 set, three make the 364; the version with an opal globe is index 3026. The manufacturer's instructions call for installation by a licensed electrician.
The terminals accept conductors up to 4 × 2.5 mm² and let the supply continue to the next head on the same pole, and the cable entry takes round cable 7–12.5 mm in diameter.
What light it gives
The luminaire has an E27 socket and takes an LED bulb of up to 9 W in an A55–A60 shape, no longer than 110 mm. No bulb is supplied, so you choose the colour temperature and brightness yourself. For reference, an LED bulb of about 800 lm gives as much light as an old 60 W incandescent. Norlys describes the distribution as diffuse light.
Construction
IP54 means protection against dust and against water splashing from any direction, so the luminaire can work outdoors. Protection class II means double insulation, with no earth conductor. A silicone gasket seals the globe, and the globe has its own service kit (06360008), so a cracked one can be replaced without changing the whole luminaire.
A globe in an openwork collar is the classic park-lantern shape, at home in a garden as well as around a hotel or restaurant.
