NORLYS Bologna 3026WH White Pole-Mounted Light, Opal Globe on Arm, E27

The Norlys Bologna 3026WH is a pole-mounted light with an opal globe set in an openwork collar on a curved arm. The body and arm are cast aluminium, powder-coated white (RAL 9003), and the globe is opal PMMA. The luminaire comes on its own – the pole and the terminal it fixes to are ordered separately.

What it mounts on

The arm bolts to the Bologna 3040 terminal, which slides onto the Norlys 3010 lighting pole of 50 mm diameter. Two heads with opal or clear globes on one pole make the Bologna 362/363 set, three make the 364/365. So the 3026 can be bought to complete such a set, or to build your own pole with a single globe. The Norlys instructions call for installation by a licensed electrician.

The terminals take conductors up to 4 × 2.5 mm² and let the supply continue to the next head on the same pole. The cable entry accepts round cable 7–12.5 mm in diameter.

What light the opal globe gives

Inside is an E27 socket for an A55–A60 bulb up to 110 mm long, LED up to 9 W. No bulb is included. An LED bulb of about 800 lm gives as much light as an old 60 W bulb, and 2700 K is the warm, slightly yellow light familiar from garden lanterns.

The opal globe spreads the light over its whole surface: the bulb cannot be seen, the globe glows evenly and does not dazzle people walking past. That is the difference from the 3025 with a clear globe, where the bulb stays on show – behind opal, the shape of the bulb does not matter.

Build and weather resistance

IP54 means protection against dust deposits and splashing water from any direction, so the luminaire can stand in the open. Protection class II stands for double insulation – no earth conductor is needed. A silicone gasket seals the globe, and a cracked globe is replaced without changing the whole luminaire – Norlys supplies it as service kit 06360007.

A globe in an openwork collar on a decorative arm is the classic park-lantern shape. It suits a garden and a path to the house, as well as the grounds of a hotel or restaurant.
