Moss DC6983BL is a compact garden spotlight on a ground spike: a cylindrical head on a curved bracket, finished in black (RAL 9005). The body is powder-coated cast aluminium, and the front is closed by clear safety glass. This is the 24 V DC low-voltage version, so it needs a separate power supply.
How big it is and how it is installed
The head measures 8.5 × 6.5 × 10.8 cm and the whole fitting weighs 0.56 kg, so it can be pushed into a flower bed and moved later if the planting changes. The beam can also be tilted vertically, which lets you aim it at a tree trunk, a shrub or a section of wall. It comes with 3 m of H05RN-F 2 × 1 cable that is connected in a suitable junction box – the manufacturer sells its connection box separately.
How much light and what kind
The LED module produces 880 lm, and 730 lm leaves the luminaire at 6.8 W. The beam angle is 24°, a narrow, concentrated beam that picks out one object instead of lighting the whole garden. 2700 K is warm, slightly yellowish light, and CRI 80 renders plant colours correctly. The whole output can be aimed upwards, so the spotlight suits uplighting trees and walls.
Power supply and service
The spotlight runs on 24 V DC and requires an external voltage-stabilised power supply, which is not included; the manufacturer leaves its selection and connection to a qualified installer. The LED module is suitable for dimming, which is done at the power supply. IP65 protection means it can stay outdoors without cover. The LED module is replaced by a professional service, and the manufacturer gives an L90 lifetime above 135,500 h.
