Norlys MOSS 6600GR is a graphite garden spotlight with a small cylindrical head carried on a slender vertical support. The aluminium fitting comes with a ground spike. Choosing it therefore involves planning a position in soil and an electrical connection, rather than judging the lamp by its appearance alone.
Plan around the height above ground
The drawing separates the 60 cm section above the surface from the additional spike. This above-ground height should not be confused with the overall length including the part inserted into the earth. Compare the position of the head with the surrounding planting and the object you intend to illuminate.
A straight support and an undecorated round head give the fitting a modern, minimalist form. Graphite is a distinct finish, not an alternative name for the black version. As a spotlight, it directs light towards a selected part of the surroundings. It should not automatically be treated as a substitute for a fitting intended to illuminate an entire area evenly.
Source output is not fitting output
The integrated LED source is rated at 8 W, while the complete fitting consumes 8.4 W. Norlys also distinguishes the source's 840 lm from the luminaire's 687 lm. The latter figure is the relevant one when assessing how much light leaves the assembled fitting. Its 3000 K colour temperature gives a warm tone, with a specified colour rendering index of CRI 80.
The fitting is dimmable. Control equipment needs to suit the LED module rather than merely its nominal wattage. This is not a lamp with an ordinary bulb for user replacement: the manufacturer requires the light source to be replaced by a service technician or an equivalently qualified person.
Included parts and the connection
The support, spike and 3 m H05RN-F 3G1 cable are included. The cable needs connection in a suitably selected electrical installation box; other accessories are purchased separately. IP65 describes the fitting's protection and does not replace a properly protected cable connection. Read the installation instructions before mounting, including their warning about modifying the factory-fitted cable.
