Norlys Moss 6167BC LED spike spotlight, black with copper patina, 8.4 W, 3000 K, dimmable

Moss 6167BC is a portable LED ground spotlight: a cylindrical head on a curved bracket, mounted on a spike that is pushed into the soil. The cast aluminium body is finished in black with a copper patina, and the front is closed with clear safety glass. Including the spike the spotlight is 27 cm tall and weighs 0.56 kg.

What light it gives

The integrated LED module draws 8.4 W, and the fitting emits 687 lm at 3000 K – a warm white in which foliage, bark and stone look natural. The beam is symmetrical with a 36° angle, so the spotlight picks out a single object – a shrub, a tree trunk, a section of wall – rather than lighting the whole garden. The head also tilts vertically, so the same fitting can be aimed up into a tree or at an angle onto a facade. A colour rendering index of Ra 80 renders plant colours well.

The spotlight is phase-dimmable with both trailing-edge (TE) and leading-edge (LE) dimmers, so it works with common LED dimmers. The module is rated L70 59,000 h; Norlys allows it to be replaced only by a professional service.

Installation and connection

The fitting comes with a 3 m H05RN-F 3G1 cable already attached, which is connected in a suitable junction box – junction box 145ZX0009 is not included and has to be bought separately. The spike lets you move the spotlight within the reach of the cable when plants grow or a border is replanted.

IP65 protects the fitting against dust and water jets, so it can stand in a lawn or flower bed without a cover. Impact resistance is IK06. It is protection class I – the protective earth conductor must be connected.
