NORLYS Sande 1594GR Graphite Outdoor Spotlight RAL 7016, LED 8.3 W 3000 K 40°, Short Arm

Sande 1594GR is an outdoor LED spotlight: a round head on a short arm, mounted on a rectangular base. The cast aluminium body is powder-coated in graphite RAL 7016, and clear safety glass closes the front. The beam direction adjusts both vertically and horizontally, so the spotlight can be aimed at a tree, a shrub or part of a facade.

What light it gives

The LED module produces 854 lm, and 712 lm leaves the fitting at a draw of 8.3 W. The beam is symmetrical at 40°: according to the manufacturer it lights a circle about 0.66 m across from 1 m away and about 2 m across from 3 m, with 172 lx on the axis. 3000 K is a warm white, at CRI 80. The spotlight is phase-dimmable, but only with a trailing-edge dimmer. The manufacturer offers the 1233XX0009 shield separately to limit glare.

Dimensions and mounting

The spotlight is 9 cm wide, 15 cm deep and 24 cm tall, and weighs 1.31 kg. The base is screwed down through two oval 5 × 7 mm holes spaced 69 × 116 mm. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow a further light to be looped on with conductors up to 3 × 1.5 mm², and the round sheathed cable can be 6–10.5 mm in diameter. IP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets, and IK08 good impact resistance.

Servicing and lifetime

The LED module and the driver are replaced by a professional service; the cover glass, the gasket and repair kit ZS1594zx0014 are available as spare parts. The manufacturer rates the module at 109,000 h (L90) and the driver at 50,000 h. This is a protection class I luminaire and needs a protective earth connection.
