NORLYS Sande outdoor spotlight black GU10 IP65 3000K 1592BL

Sande 1592BL is an outdoor spotlight by Norlys made of black (RAL 9005) powder-coated cast aluminium, with a clear safety-glass front and a silicone gasket. It concentrates the light into a symmetrical 36° beam, and the head tilts vertically so it can be aimed at a tree, a shrub or a section of facade.

Mounting: spike or base

The fitting has two ways of fixing: a spike for driving into the ground and a base for permanent mounting, for example on a low wall or a terrace. With the spike it is 34 cm tall, 19 cm of which rises above the spike's collar plate; overall it is 10.5 cm wide and 16 cm deep. It comes with a 5 m H05RN-F 3G1 cable, to be connected in a suitably chosen junction box. The fitting is protection class I, so it needs an earth conductor — the 230 V connection is a job for an electrician.

IP65 means the housing is dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction, so rain and sprinklers are no problem for it. IK08 describes the housing's impact resistance.

Light source and dimming

A Philips MASTER LED ExpertColor 5.5 W GU10 LED lamp with a 3000 K colour temperature and 36° beam is included. The whole fitting draws 5.4 W and delivers 348 lm of warm white light, and CRI 90 keeps the green of leaves and the colour of render looking natural. The manufacturer states an L70 lifetime of over 40,000 hours. The lamp is user-replaceable — it is a standard GU10 cap, and Norlys also stocks it as a spare part.

The spotlight can be dimmed with a phase dimmer, either trailing edge (TE) or leading edge (LE), so there is no need to match the dimmer to a single control type.

Accessories and variants

A shield/visor, article 1233XX0009, is available separately. Sande 1592 also comes in graphite, cement grey, corten steel and beige grey, and the same family includes model 1593 with an integrated 8.3 W LED delivering 712 lm.
