Moss 6603BL is a black Norlys garden spotlight with a round head mounted on an arm with a ground spike. The cast aluminium body is powder-coated black, and the front of the head is closed with clear safety glass. The head turns and also tilts vertically, so the beam can be aimed precisely at the chosen object.
Size and connection
The whole spotlight is 85 cm long; with the spike pushed in, the head sits about 60 cm above the ground, and seen from above the head and its bracket fit within 16 cm. The manufacturer describes it as portable: the spike needs no foundation, so the light can be moved as plants grow, as long as the cable reaches.
It comes with a 3 m H05RN-F 3G1 cable already connected, which is joined to the installation in a suitable junction box. Connection box 145ZX, clamps 6434, 6435 and 6436 and mounting adapter 6729 are sold separately. The spotlight is protection class I (the earth conductor runs in the three-core cable), rated IP65 and IK06 for impact.
What light it gives
The integrated LED module draws 4.1 W and gives neutral white 4000 K light with Ra 80 colour rendering. The fitting emits 406 lm in a symmetrical 36° beam. According to the manufacturer's table, from 2 m away the beam forms a pool about 1.5 m across with 176 lx at the centre, and from 3 m about 2.2 m at 78 lx. That is the scale of a tree trunk, a shrub or a section of facade, not of a whole lawn.
The spotlight can be dimmed with a phase dimmer, trailing edge (TE) or leading edge (LE). The LED module is replaced by a professional service, not by the user. The manufacturer gives an L70 lifetime of 59,000 hours, which is more than 50 years at three hours a day.
Where it fits
The plain round head on a slim stem suits a modern, minimalist style, and the black finish disappears against a flower bed at night. The spotlight is intended for lighting up trees and shrubs in the garden and for lighting facades from below.
