Outdoor spotlight Sande 1598BL black LED GU10 5.5 W 3000 K 36° IP65 - Norlys

Sande 1598BL is an outdoor spotlight with a round head on an articulated bracket, set on a rectangular base. It is 24 cm high, 9 cm wide and 15 cm deep. The body is powder-coated cast aluminium in black (RAL 9005), and the head is closed by a window of clear safety glass.

Lamp and light

A Philips MASTER LED ExpertColor GU10 lamp of 5.5 W is included, so the spotlight works as soon as it is connected. It gives 3000 K light, a warm white, and CRI 90 means the colours of leaves, flowers or a facade look almost as they do in daylight. The lamp produces 375 lm, and 348 lm leaves the spotlight in a symmetrical 36° beam: a beam for picking out a single tree, shrub or section of wall, not for lighting a whole garden.

The lamp is replaced by the user, and the manufacturer gives an L70 lifetime of over 40,000 h. The luminaire is phase-dimmable with both trailing-edge and leading-edge dimmers.

Aiming and mounting

The beam direction is adjustable vertically and horizontally, so it can be aimed at a specific object after installation. The manufacturer intends the spotlight to be portable or permanently mounted: the base is screwed down through two oval 5 × 7 mm holes spaced 69 × 116 mm. A ground spike (1234) and a shield with visor (1233) are sold separately.

The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and up to 3 × 1.5 mm² for loop-through, so several spotlights can run on one cable. The gland fits a round cable of 6–10.5 mm. This is a protection class I luminaire, so it must be connected to a protective earth.

Where it fits

IP65 lets the spotlight stay outdoors without any cover, and IK08 means resistance to impacts of up to 5 J. The manufacturer intends it for gardens, private grounds and public areas; it suits lighting up a facade or planting in front of a hotel or restaurant. The plain, technical form without ornament matches modern architecture.
