Oslo 245BL is a 118 cm bollard light in black (RAL 9005): a straight column ending in a curved arm, from which hangs a lamp with a tiered shade 28.5 cm across. Norlys describes it as a fitting of Scandinavian design.
Size and installation
The arm holds the lamp 48 cm out from the column's axis, so the shade hangs over the path or border rather than right beside the post — a measurement to allow for when the bollard stands at the edge of a walkway. It is fixed on the supplied mounting anchor through three ø7 mm holes at 120° on a ø139 mm circle.
The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm², or up to 2 × 1.5 mm² when looping the supply on to further fittings; the cable should have a round sheath up to 12 mm in diameter. The luminaire is protection class II, so it needs no earth conductor.
Light source
The bollard has an E27 socket for an A55–A60 shaped bulb, and Norlys gives a limit of LED 9 W. The bulb is not included and is changed by the user, with no service visit needed — so colour and brightness are yours to choose, for instance warm white at 2700–3000 K for a garden.
The bulb sits behind a clear cover of UV-stabilised polycarbonate and shows between the tiers of the shade. Most of the light falls downwards and to the sides, while about 9% of the output goes upwards (ULOR 9.19%).
Build and use
The body is hot-dip galvanised, powder-coated steel, and IP55 lets the bollard stay outdoors without any cover. If the cover is ever damaged, Norlys offers it as service kit 06240003. The manufacturer intends Oslo for gardens, terraces and other spaces around the house.
