Outdoor wall light Lillehammer 2286BL black LED 4.5 W 4000 K DALI2 uplight - Norlys

Lillehammer 2286BL is an outdoor wall light shaped as a rectangular block 18.5 cm high and 8 cm wide, projecting 11 cm from the wall. The body is powder-coated cast aluminium in black (RAL 9005), and light leaves only through the top face, via a window of clear safety glass.

What light it gives

The luminaire emits light in one direction, a 60° beam pointing upwards. The manufacturer states a ULOR of 100% and a BUG rating of B0-U3-G0, meaning all of the light goes above the fitting and none falls on the ground. It is a wall light for washing the wall and facade above it, not for lighting an entrance or path below.

The built-in LED module produces 504 lm, and 115 lm leaves the luminaire at a power draw of 4.5 W. 4000 K is a neutral white, cooler than a traditional bulb, and CRI 80 renders facade colours correctly. There is no bulb to buy: the module and driver can be replaced, but only by a professional service, for which the manufacturer supplies service kit ZS2286zx0009. Module lifetime is L80 over 102,000 h and L90 over 52,600 h; the driver is rated at 50,000 h.

Control and connection

The driver works in a DALI2 system, so dimming needs a DALI controller; an ordinary phase dimmer will not operate this luminaire. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 1.5 mm² and allow loop-through wiring, so several wall lights on a facade can run on one cable, and the gland fits a round cable of 7–10.5 mm. This is a protection class I luminaire, so it must be connected to a protective earth.

For a longer row of fittings the 6.7 A inrush current matters. The manufacturer lists how many fit on one circuit breaker: 46 on B 10 A, 74 on B 16 A or C 10 A, and 119 on C 16 A.

Mounting and placement

The wall light is screwed to the wall through two ø5 mm holes spaced 45 × 130 mm. IP65 allows outdoor mounting without any cover, and IK08 means resistance to impacts of up to 5 J. The manufacturer intends it for lighting walls, facades and architectural details. The smooth, unornamented body suits modern, minimalist architecture.
