The Lillehammer 1588BL is a box-shaped outdoor wall light in cast aluminium, powder-coated black (RAL 9005). It is 18.5 cm tall and 8 cm wide and projects 11 cm from the wall. The clear safety-glass window sits in the top face, so all of the light leaves upwards.
How it lights and what it is for
The manufacturer specifies a one-sided 60° beam aimed upwards and a ULOR of 100%. The fitting therefore does not light the path below it; it brightens the strip of wall above – light for picking out a facade, pilasters or recesses rather than for lighting an entrance or a walkway.
The integrated LED module draws 4 W. The light source itself produces 534 lm and 118 lm leaves the fitting, which is the level of an accent on a wall. 4000 K is neutral white, under which white render and pale stone keep a cool, natural tone.
Dimming and servicing
The light is phase-dimmable, but only by trailing-edge (TE) control. It needs a trailing-edge dimmer, usually marked RC; a leading-edge dimmer is not specified for this fitting.
The LED module and the driver can be replaced, but by a professional service – the manufacturer offers service kit ZS1587zx0009 for it. It rates the module at L80 over 102,000 h and the driver at 50,000 h, which at ten hours a night is around 13 years of driver life.
Mounting on a facade
IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, so the light can be fixed to a wall with no canopy above it; the housing is also impact-rated IK08. It is a protection class I luminaire and must be connected to the protective earth.
It is screwed on through two ø5 mm holes spaced 45 × 130 mm apart. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and a cable of 7–10.5 mm diameter enters through an EPDM gland. The manufacturer allows fittings to be looped through with conductors up to 3 × 1.5 mm², so a row of these along one wall runs from a single supply line. The light weighs 1.57 kg.
