NUMINOS L PD PHASE is a pendant light with a cylindrical aluminium body, matt white on the outside and matt black in the ring around the lens. The LED is built into the fitting, so no bulb has to be chosen.

Dimensions and drop

The cylinder measures 10 cm in diameter and 21.3 cm in height, and the ceiling rose is 10.3 cm across on the manufacturer's drawing. The suspension reaches 250 cm and is shortened during installation, so the fitting also works in a room of ordinary height. Over a table the drop is usually set so that the lower edge sits 70–80 cm above the top — at a 75 cm table that is roughly 145–155 cm from the floor. Net weight is 1.278 kg and the rose is surface-mounted.

How much light it gives and of what kind

The LED module draws 20 W and emits 2400 lm, which is 120 lm/W — exactly the efficiency the manufacturer quotes for the whole NUMINOS range. For comparison, the old 60 W bulb gave about 800 lm, so this fitting is roughly three times brighter. The light is concentrated into a 36° beam aimed straight down, so the fitting lights a chosen surface rather than a whole room. 3000 K is warm white, and CRI 90 means colours under this light look almost as they do in daylight, which matters over a worktop and over a table. The glare index UGR is 13.

Dimming and connection

Brightness is controlled with a trailing-edge phase dimmer wired on the 230 V side — this is not a DALI fitting and it has no control gear of its own. Supply is 220–240 V ~50/60 Hz and the module's secondary current is 500 mA. The fitting is protection class I, so the installation needs an earth conductor. The declared life of the light source is 50,000 hours.
