Quintiesse Alford Place outdoor chandelier black 4×E14 43.2 cm

Alford Place from the Quintiesse range is an outdoor chandelier built around an open lantern frame. Its black aluminium structure surrounds four separate clear glass shades with small bubbles within the glass. The candle-style arrangement remains visible between straight bars, while the Museum Black finish outlines the frame without enclosing its centre.

Allow for the whole suspension, not just the body

The body is 55.5 cm high and 43.2 cm in diameter. The overall drop from the ceiling to the bottom of the fitting is 66.9–232.3 cm, with the height set during installation. A 152.4 cm chain is included. This measurement refers to the suspension chain, not the length of an electrical cable.

Compare the minimum drop with your ceiling height and the clearance needed beneath the fitting before choosing its position. This matters beside a terrace walkway or beneath a gazebo roof: the body height alone does not tell you where the lower edge will sit once installed. Check the width against neighbouring structures as well.

Choose four E14 bulbs separately

Each of the four light points takes an E14 bulb rated up to 40 W, or a suitable LED alternative. Bulbs are not supplied, and there is no integrated LED module. Your chosen lamps determine the light colour and brightness; neither the black frame nor the texture of the glass establishes those characteristics.

The manufacturer confirms compatibility with dimmable lamps. If you want brightness control, select suitable dimmable bulbs and matching controls rather than assuming any E14 bulb will dim. The fitting operates on 220–240 V mains power and is Class I.

A classic lantern shape for outdoor suspension

Its IP44 rating and the manufacturer's explicit outdoor designation support use on a terrace, balcony or gazebo with an appropriate suspension point. The open cage, chain and four glass sleeves recall traditional lanterns and candle holders. A three-year anti-corrosion warranty is stated, excluding locations within 5 miles of the coastline. That specific restriction is worth checking before selecting the fitting for a coastal property.
