Blacksmith pendant lantern - 4 light sources Quintiesse

Blacksmith by Quintiesse is a four-light, chain-hung chandelier with curved steel bands forming an open globe around its shades. The Old Black finish combines aged black with charcoal and dark-silver accents. Cylindrical shades in etched opal glass enclose the light sources, distinguishing this version from a chandelier with exposed candle bulbs.

Allow for the body and the suspension

The fitting itself is 58.1 cm high and 50.1 cm in diameter. Body height is not the complete hanging height: the manufacturer gives an overall drop of 68.2–316.4 cm, adjusted during installation. Compare the planned lower edge with your table height and the headroom needed beneath it. The diameter describes the outside of the steel frame rather than the width of an individual glass shade.

The chain and ceiling canopy remain visible parts of the installation. The fitting weighs 7.88 kg, which also needs to be considered when planning its support. Its rounded outline remains a distinct feature when the lamps are off, rather than disappearing into a narrow suspension above the table.

Choose four replaceable E14 bulbs

Four E14 bulbs are required, each rated at no more than 40 W, or suitable LED alternatives. Bulbs are not included. Their selection determines the colour and amount of light; specifications for the separately recommended LED bulb must not be read as the output of the whole chandelier. Dimming requires suitable dimmable bulbs and compatible control equipment. The opal cylinders screen a direct view of the light sources inside.

Outdoor use and the aged finish

The manufacturer permits interior and exterior use and also identifies bathrooms. IP44 does not permit unrestricted placement beside water: the installation location must meet the relevant electrical requirements. Hanging above a table, on a terrace or in a gazebo makes use of the central four-light arrangement. Curved bands and the aged surface suit classical, rustic and vintage interiors. The three-year anti-corrosion warranty excludes locations within 5 miles of the coastline.
