MERIDIAN is a three-tier chandelier for nine light sources. The steel frame is finished in distressed gold — the surface is hammered and uneven, with darker metal showing through. Overlapping smoked, textured glass discs hang from the rods, each held by a round gold fixing plate.
How far down it can hang
The body alone is 120.7 cm tall and 57.2 cm across. With the chain, the fitting hangs 131.8 to 187.3 cm below the ceiling — subtract that from your own ceiling height to see how much room is left under the lowest disc. The manufacturer intends it for rooms with high ceilings and names the stairwell outright.
The length is set by shortening the chain during assembly, not adjusted afterwards. The chandelier weighs 19 kg, so the ceiling fixing has to be rated for that load — this is not a fitting for an ordinary hook in plasterboard. The shipping box measures 109 × 62 × 61.5 cm and weighs 20.7 kg.
How many lamps to buy
Nine E14 sockets are hidden inside the structure, each rated at 40 W, so up to 360 W for the whole fitting. No lamps are supplied and there is no integrated LED, so you choose the light colour and brightness yourself — and buy nine at once.
The fitting has no dimming electronics of its own: the manufacturer describes it as compatible with dimmable lamps, which means dimmable lamps plus a dimmer in the installation are both needed. It runs directly off 220–240 V mains and is Class I, so it needs an earth conductor.
What it is made of
The structure is steel and the decorative element is glass. The discs are textured and scatter the light: the manufacturer states that with the nine sources lit they take on a light grey tone and the whole fitting begins to sparkle. Unlit they stay smoky and cool in tone, which balances the warmth of the gold frame.
The chandelier is for indoor use only and carries a two-year manufacturer guarantee.
