LASER 900 is a recessed point luminaire shaped as a black steel tube 2.5 cm across that drops 90 cm below the ceiling. Only a flat collar stays visible at the ceiling — the whole fixing mechanism sits in the space above the board.

Cut-out and connection

The manufacturer specifies a round cut-out 5.1 cm across; that is what has to be opened in a suspended ceiling or a plasterboard sheet. The fitting is made for recessed mounting, so free space has to remain above the board for the springs and the connector block.

Supply is 220–230 V, 50/60 Hz, and the fitting is class II: no protective conductor is needed at the ceiling point. The IP20 rating and the manufacturer's own indoor designation restrict installation to dry rooms.

Lamp: G9, LED only

The fitting takes one lamp with a G9 base up to 10 W, and the manufacturer permits LED lamps only. The closed, narrow tube does not carry away the heat of a halogen capsule, so the restriction is on the type of lamp and not only on its wattage.

No lamp is included — the box holds the fitting and its instructions — so colour temperature and brightness are yours to choose. There is exactly one light point, so a longer worktop takes several units.

Size and where it goes

The tube is 90 cm long and 2.5 cm across, and the fitting weighs 0.78 kg. Compare that drop against your own ceiling height and against the rule that the lower edge over a table usually sits 70–80 cm above the top. The body is black lacquered steel, and the carton is 99 cm long — a figure worth checking before delivery.
