Sigma Kapello L 32337 – a 76 cm shade with a flowing profile

Kapello L moves away from the familiar symmetrical lampshade. A broad mineral-composite surface rises and falls around the central bulb, producing a profile similar to a softly shaped hat. Matt white dominates when the fitting is viewed from above, while the underside has an irregular copper-coloured finish whose texture becomes especially apparent when illuminated. A white lampholder cover, cable and round canopy provide a quiet framework for this expansive organic form.

Light beneath a decorative surface

One exposed bulb sits directly below the central section of the shade. Its output picks out the copper texture from beneath, while the white upper face retains a restrained appearance. The 76 cm diameter makes this fitting suitable as a single focal point over a round dining table, coffee table or the middle of a seating area. Its low wave does not form a tall body, but it occupies a pronounced horizontal area, so the reach of the edges should be considered before choosing the position.

A replaceable E27 bulb

Kapello L uses one E27 holder for an LED bulb rated at no more than 15 W. The light source is not supplied. As the globe remains visible, its shape contributes to the design: opal glass can soften direct sight of the light, whereas a clear bulb continues the decorative emphasis. Suspension height is adjustable up to 80 cm. The manufacturer can provide a longer cable to order, an option worth arranging before purchase for a space with an unusual ceiling height.
