Sigma KAPELLO Pendant Light 76 cm White Gold 32338

Kapello L 32338 – a broad gold surface beneath a white upper face

This single-light Kapello L develops its appearance through the contrast between two sides of one shade. The smooth white top is calm and almost graphic. Underneath, mineral composite reveals a gold-coloured finish with a dense, irregular pattern resembling tangled fibres. The plane is not flat: it drops at one edge, passes around the central holder and rises at the opposite side. As a person moves through the room, the proportion of gold in view continually changes.

Large scale without an enclosed volume

The shade spans 76 cm in diameter but is only 12.5 cm high. Rather than forming a conventional dome, it makes a wide horizontal gesture with the bulb still visible below. This format can organise the area over a dining table, identify a coffee table or occupy open space within a living zone. A slightly oblique viewpoint is particularly effective: the white top relates to pale architecture, while the gold underside receives illumination from the central point.

Make the bulb a deliberate choice

Its E27 holder takes one LED bulb up to 15 W, purchased separately. With no enclosure around the globe, its proportions and glass become part of the composition. Opal glass can form a softer, even point; a clear version displays a decorative filament. The suspension adjusts to a maximum overall height of 80 cm. A longer cable can also be ordered from the manufacturer when a deeper drop is necessary.

Model 32338 suits a scheme in which one pendant should read as a recognisable object. Its ornament comes from movement, surface pattern and the transition from cool white to luminous gold rather than from added decoration.
