Stavanger 5062AL LED Bollard Light Aluminium 28 cm NORLYS

Stavanger 5062AL is a low cylindrical bollard light, 28 cm tall and 20 cm in diameter, cast in aluminium and powder-coated in an aluminium finish (RAL 9006). Beneath the flat cap runs a ring of clear, UV-stabilised polycarbonate through which the light leaves. Inside is an LED module with an electronic driver, controlled over DALI.

Dimensions and installation

At 28 cm the bollard sits at the height of a flower bed or a low shrub and lights the ground right around it rather than the whole garden. The fitting weighs 4.84 kg. It is fixed through three ø9 mm holes set 120° apart on a 145 mm circle. The ground anchor, concrete-in anchor and mounting adapters are sold separately, so choose them for your ground along with the bollard.

The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and allow loop-through wiring — five cores carry the mains and the two DALI bus wires in one cable. The nylon gland seals round cable 8–17 mm in diameter. The maker also states how many fittings one circuit can carry: 80 on a B 10 A breaker and 130 on a B 16 A. The fitting is protection class I, so it needs an earth conductor, and the maker specifies installation by a qualified person.

What light it gives

The module shines at 4000 K, a neutral white, and the whole fitting delivers 351 lm. The light is indirect, spreads evenly around the bollard and points down onto the path, gravel or lawn — just under 4% of the output goes upward. Power draw is 8.5 W.

Control is over DALI, a digital bus: dimming and scenes need a DALI controller, and an ordinary phase dimmer will not work. The maker rates the LED module at over 70,000 h (L70) and the driver at 100,000 h. Both can be replaced by a service technician, and a service kit is available as a spare part.

Where it fits

Norlys intends Stavanger for gardens, private grounds and other architectural outdoor spaces. IP65 means fully dust-tight and protected against water jets, and IK08 against impacts of 5 J. The Stavanger family also includes taller 50 and 95 cm bollards and a graphite version.
