TOUCH switch for LED strips with PWM dimmer and DELAY OFF function 60W/12V 72W/24V

The TOUCH switch is an electronic module measuring 55 × 10 mm that sits in the LED strip circuit between the power supply and the strip. The board carries a metal plate acting as the touch pad and a single indicator LED, with short leads brought out at both ends: red and black on the side marked POWER, red and white on the side marked LED. The module combines a switch and a PWM dimmer.

Which strips and profiles it fits

The module drives single-colour strips running on 12 V DC or 24 V DC. At 12 V it takes up to 5 A, which is 60 W; at 24 V up to 3 A, which is 72 W — that is the power budget to compare against your own strip's draw multiplied by its length. The manufacturer gives an example: with a 600 LED 3528 strip drawing 9.6 W/m, about 6 m can be connected.

The board is 10 mm wide and hides inside a LUMINES aluminium profile with an internal dimension over 10 mm. It will not fit a narrower profile, and then has to sit outside it.

Switching and dimming

Switching happens by touching the diffuser exactly where the plate lies underneath, so no button is needed outside the profile. A single LED lights that spot, which makes it findable in the dark. Holding for more than 2 seconds starts brightness adjustment, signalled by the LED blinking.

One condition applies: the plate under the diffuser has to be taller than the gap between the strip's adhesive surface and the diffuser, otherwise the touch is not detected. That dimension is in the data sheet of the particular profile and is worth checking before ordering.

DELAY OFF and what to buy separately

After switch-off the light does not go out at once but fades: from full brightness it takes 20 s (±1 s), from half brightness 10–11 s. That is how long you have to leave the lit room.

The module comes on its own, with leads attached — a 12 or 24 V DC power supply and the LED strip are bought separately. The board has no housing of its own, so its place is inside the profile in a dry room.
