The PARA CONE GL GU10 is a track spotlight with a cone-shaped shade made of smoked, see-through glass. The bracket and the track adapter are aluminium in a black finish. The shade measures 13.5 cm across and the whole fitting, adapter included, stands 19.8 cm tall.

Which track it fits and how it is connected

The adapter is made for the SLV 1-phase track system — that is how the installation manual supplied by the maker describes the fitting. It will not work on a three-phase track or on another brand's magnetic system, so it is worth checking which track is already on the ceiling before ordering. The track itself may run along a ceiling or along a wall.

The fitting weighs 0.401 kg, so even several of them on one run put little load on the track. It works on 220–240 V and belongs to protection class I, which means it needs an earth conductor — the track it hangs from has to be earthed.

Which bulb you need to buy

The fitting takes one bulb with a GU10 base rated up to 25 W. No bulb is included, so you choose the colour and the brightness yourself; SLV recommends its own QPAR51 GU10 LED bulbs in 2700 K, 3000 K and 4000 K, plus a dimmable 2600 K model.

The shade is smoked but transparent — the bulb stays visible through the glass, so its shape and its light colour become part of how the lit fitting looks. There is no electronics and no DALI control inside, so dimming depends on a dimmable bulb and a dimmer in the installation.

How the light is aimed

The head turns 300° horizontally and tilts 90° vertically, from a sideways beam to straight down. The direction changes in place, without sliding the adapter along the track, so after the goods or the furniture are rearranged the light can be reset in seconds.

The conical shade gathers the light towards its mouth, so the fitting lights a chosen part of a room rather than the whole of it. The maker intends it for a shop — its own application photographs show a row of these spots above the display of a flower shop.
