Trysil 1085BL LED Lighting Pole 4 m, Single-Arm, Black, Dimmable NORLYS

Trysil 1085BL is a complete 4 m LED lighting pole with a single arm. The luminaire is built into the head at the end of a 71 cm arm, so no separate pole or lamp has to be bought. The body is an extruded aluminium profile powder-coated black (RAL 9005), and under the head sits a clear, textured, UV-stabilised polycarbonate diffuser.

How much light, and what kind

Two LED modules produce 2920 lm, and 1719 lm leaves the luminaire at 17 W, which is 101.1 lm/W. That is enough to light a driveway, a terrace or a path, not just to mark the way. The light is diffuse and directed downwards into the hemisphere below the head, and the BUG rating of B1-U1-G1 means little of it goes above the fitting.

4000 K is neutral white, under which paving and plants look natural, and CRI 80 is sufficient for outdoor area lighting.

Power supply, dimming and connection

The electronic driver is built in, and the pole runs on 230 V mains in protection class I, so it must be connected to a protective earth. It dims by phase control with both trailing-edge (TE) and leading-edge (LE) dimmers, so it works with both common types of dimmer. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 4 mm² and allow the supply to be looped on to the next pole (up to 3 × 2.5 mm²), with a cable diameter of up to 12.5 mm.

The pole is installed according to the enclosed instructions; anchors and other mounting accessories are sold separately by Norlys. It weighs 24 kg net – worth allowing for when transporting and erecting it.

Durability and service

IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, and IK10 is the highest impact rating, 20 J. The modules are rated L80 above 102,000 hours and the driver at 50,000 hours. Neither the LED modules nor the driver is user-replaceable: Norlys provides for replacement by a professional service and offers a repair kit for this model.

Where it fits

The plain rectangular column with its angled arm is a modern form. Norlys intends the pole for lighting private grounds – it suits a driveway, a terrace, a garden and a park.
