Trysil 1036AL is a complete 400 cm lighting column that splits at the top into two arms forming a Y — 118 cm from tip to tip. The shaft and arms are an extruded aluminium profile powder-coated in light grey RAL 9006, and the four LED modules in the arms sit behind clear, textured, UV-stabilised polycarbonate. The column stands on a square base plate measuring 24 cm per side.
How much light it gives
The LED modules produce 5496 lm together; 3347 lm leaves the luminaire at 34 W — 98.4 lm/W for the whole column. 3000 K is warm white light, and Ra 80 renders paving, plants and facades without noticeable colour distortion.
The textured diffuser spreads light downwards in a hemisphere: a wide, soft pool around the shaft rather than a narrow strip along a road. Only 0.4% of the flux escapes upwards, so the column barely lights the sky.
Dimming and servicing
The luminaire is phase-dimmable with both trailing-edge (TE) and leading-edge (LE) dimmers, so brightness is set by a dimmer on the supply line, with no separate control cable. The LED modules keep 80% of their flux for 102,000 h and 90% for 52,600 h; the driver is rated for 50,000 h.
LED modules and driver can be replaced by a professional service using the manufacturer's service set ZS1036zx0009, so a worn light source does not mean replacing the whole column.
Installation and what to buy separately
The column weighs 28.5 kg and ships in a 44 × 38 × 232 cm box. No foundation or connection hardware is included: the manufacturer lists the B-50 concrete foundation, the galvanised anchor cage 3091GA0009 and a sealed junction box with a 6 A fuse (7666ZX0009), all ordered separately. The base plate fixes onto four M14 bolts spaced 18 × 18 cm; installation and connection are done by a licensed electrician.
The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 4 mm², or 3 × 2.5 mm² when columns are looped together; the round-sheathed supply cable can be up to 12.5 mm in diameter. Protection class I means the circuit needs a protective earth conductor. IP65 keeps out dust and water jets from any direction, and IK10 is the highest impact resistance on the IK scale.
Where to put it
The manufacturer intends the column for private grounds and architectural schemes. It suits parks, gardens and driveways as well as hotel and restaurant grounds — places where one light point 4 m up has to light a square or path on both sides of the shaft. The form is modern: a rectangular profile forks at an angle into two flat arms, with no ornament.
