The NORLYS Egersund Park is a garden bollard 250 cm tall with a 12 × 12 cm section, made of painted cast aluminium in graphite. This is equipment for avenues, drives and larger gardens, not for a border beside the terrace.
Light downward only — ULOR 1%
The distribution is symmetrical and directed downward, and the ULOR figure is 1% — that is how much flux escapes above the horizontal. It is one of the most useful numbers in the whole specification: the bollard lights the surface, not a neighbour's windows, the tree canopy or the sky. Where light-pollution limits apply that matters formally; in an ordinary garden it matters practically.
Two flux figures, and why they differ so much
The manufacturer publishes both: the LED module produces 3566 lm, and 2314 lm leaves the luminaire. The difference is light held back by the optic and the body — the ordinary price of steering the beam and of a 1% ULOR. Correspondingly the module reaches 174 lm/W and the whole luminaire 96.8 lm/W at 23.9 W. When comparing bollards, set luminaire figures against luminaire figures: module flux on its own always looks better than the reality.
DALI2 and NightDim control
The fitting supports the DALI2 bus and a NightDim function — automatic dimming through the quietest hours, working without any external system. DALI2 needs a controller and a bus of its own, so it earns its keep on a larger installation; NightDim works on its own. A power factor of PF 0.99 is a figure from infrastructure lighting rather than garden lighting.
The fixings are bought separately
This is the most important thing to know before ordering: the ground anchor, the mounting adapter and the connection box are not included. The manufacturer lists them as separate items — anchor 6130XX0009, adapter 6133, box 6135. The bollard itself fixes with three ø9 mm bolts spaced 120° apart on a ø65 mm circle. The termination is a sealed IP68 box with terminals up to 5 × 2.5 mm², and further bollards can be looped through with up to 5 × 1.5 mm² — which is how a run along a drive is fed from one circuit.
Durability
IP65 means full protection against dust and resistance to water jets, and the −20 to +45 °C operating range covers a Central European winter. The diffuser is clear PMMA, the body cast aluminium, and protection class I requires an earth conductor. The bollard weighs 13 kg.
