Asker Pole PRO 5162GR is a complete 216 cm post light: a slim column of extruded aluminium profile topped by a horizontal arm carrying the LED head, forming an inverted L. It is powder-coated in graphite (RAL 7016), and a sealed lens of clear PMMA closes the LED module from below.

Size and installation

The column profile is 11 cm wide, the arm reaches out 39 cm and the base plate is 24 cm square. The column comes in two segments and ships in a 25 × 115 × 56 cm box. It bolts down through four ø12 mm holes on a 200 × 200 mm pattern. A ground anchor (117GA0009) and a concrete-in anchor (116ZX0009) are sold separately – one of them has to be added to the order if there is no ready foundation at the site.

The terminals take conductors up to 5×4 mm², and loop-through wiring up to 5×2.5 mm² lets several posts along a path run from one cable.6 mm. It is a protection class I luminaire and must be connected to an earth conductor.

Light and control

The source is a Philips Fortimo FastFlex module rated 6.4 W, while the whole luminaire draws 8.5 W. The maker gives the module flux as 1221 lm; it does not publish the flux leaving the luminaire. The Ledil VSM lens produces an IESNA type V distribution – a wide, symmetrical circle of light around the post – and a ULOR of 1% means almost nothing goes into the sky. 4000 K is neutral white light; CRI 70 is enough for finding your way along a path, but plant and facade colours are rendered less faithfully than under Ra 80–90 sources.

The driver supports DALI-2 and the NightDim function. It leaves the factory programmed to full current, so wired straight to the mains the post runs at full output; dimming needs a DALI controller, and the maker programs other parameters by arrangement with its sales department. The LED module and driver are replaced by a professional service – the maker lists service kit ZS5162zx0009. Module lifetime is given as over 100,000 h (L90B10) and driver lifetime as 100,000 h.

Where it fits

IP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets, and IK08 means resistance to 5 J impacts. The maker designed the post for private grounds and parks, so it suits park walkways, the surroundings of hotels and restaurants, and garden paths. The plain geometric form without ornament fits modern architecture.
