Graphite Asker Big 5106GR outdoor wall light LED 7.1 W 4000 K NORLYS

Asker Big 5106GR is an outdoor wall light shaped as a rectangular box, cast in aluminium and powder-coated in graphite (RAL 7016). Light leaves only through the bottom, via a lens of clear, textured polycarbonate set into the underside of the housing. The LED module and driver are built in, so it works once connected.

Size and mounting

The light is 30.2 cm wide, 12.5 cm high and 12.1 cm deep, and weighs 2.62 kg. It projects just over 12 cm from the wall — compare that with the spot where it will hang.

Norlys provides two fixing options: an intermediate plate with two adjustable 5 × 10 mm slots at 45 mm spacing, or direct mounting through two ø5 mm holes at 68 mm spacing. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and fittings can be looped with cable up to 3 × 1.5 mm², so several lights can run from one circuit. Protection class I means the light is connected with an earth conductor; the instructions call for installation by an electrician.

What kind of light it gives

The fitting draws 7.1 W and delivers 638 lm — less than an old 60 W bulb. It lights the wall and the area below it. 4000 K is a neutral white without a yellow tint, and CRI 80 is the usual level for general lighting: colours are recognisable, though less accurate than at Ra 90.

No light goes upwards (ULOR 0 %), so the wall above stays dark and the fitting does not light the sky. Brightness can be adjusted with a TRIAC trailing-edge dimmer. The LED module and driver are replaceable, but the manufacturer reserves that job for a qualified person.

Resistance to outdoor conditions

IP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets from any direction, so the light can hang on a wall without a canopy. IK08 is impact resistance of 5 J, which matters where the fitting hangs low, for example on a fence. The manufacturer gives an operating range of −20 to +45 °C.
