The Alta 1450BL is a low bollard light, 49 cm tall and 15 cm in diameter. Its black head is made of five horizontal louvres with an opal PMMA diffuser behind them, and the middle of the body is painted Scandinavian pine set on hot-dip galvanised, powder-coated steel.
Which light source and how much light
The bollard has an E27 lampholder for an A55–A60 shaped LED bulb of up to 9 W. The light source is not included and is replaced by the user, so brightness and colour temperature are chosen when you buy the bulb. Norlys names an 806 lm / 8.5 W / 2700 K LED bulb as its reference — roughly the brightness of an old 60 W bulb and a warm, slightly yellow light.
The louvres shield the diffuser from above, so the light spreads evenly all around and downwards onto the path and lawn. 11% of the output goes upwards (BUG rating B0-U1-G0), so the bollard does not dazzle or light the sky.
Installation and what to buy separately
The base has three ø9 mm holes set 120° apart on a ø65 mm circle. The 205ZX0010 concrete anchor, the 206GA0010 ground anchor, the 206GA0S10 concrete foundation adapter and the 3080GA0009 and 3086GA0009 mounting adapters are sold separately — which one you need depends on whether the bollard stands on concrete or in soil.
The terminals take cable up to 3 × 2.5 mm², or up to 3 × 1.5 mm² when several bollards are looped together, and the gland suits round cable up to 12.5 mm in diameter. The fitting is protection class II, so it needs no protective earth.
Durability and service
IP65 means it is dust-tight and protected against water jets, and IK08 is the impact rating, which matters for a bollard standing low beside a driveway. The bollard weighs 4.6 kg. The diffuser and the gasket are available as spare parts. Norlys designed it for private grounds and public areas.
