The VT-42012 is a spotlight designed for mounting on a 48V magnetic track system. The body is made of aluminium and plastic in a black finish, and the swivelling head lets you set the direction of the beam.
What it works with and its dimensions
The spotlight only fits 48V DC track systems — the track itself and the power supply for it are bought separately. The body measures 52 × 33 × 260 mm, a size worth comparing with the length of the track section where several such spotlights are meant to sit side by side. The head rotates in its bracket, so the beam can be aimed at a chosen spot — a counter, a display, or a work surface — without moving the whole fixture along the track.
How much light it gives and what kind
The built-in LED source, which cannot be replaced, has a power of 12 W and delivers a luminous flux of 1300 lm at 3000 K — a warm light close to a traditional bulb. A colour rendering index of Ra 80+ gives fairly faithful colours, which matters when lighting a display or a work surface. The 34° beam angle produces a beam concentrated on one spot rather than spread across the whole room.
Lifespan
The manufacturer states a source lifespan of 20,000 hours, which at 3 hours of daily use works out to around 18 years, and rates it for over 15,000 on/off cycles.
