MODENA 301BL garden lantern, black, telescopic post 193–283 cm, E27 – Norlys

MODENA 301BL is a complete garden lantern: a classic hexagonal lantern with a pointed roof and clear polycarbonate panes, mounted on a telescopic post. The body is cast aluminium, powder-coated black (RAL 9005), and below the lantern the post carries a decorative cross bar.

Height and what comes in the set

The set consists of the lantern (art. 3012) and the telescopic post (art. 3010). The height adjusts from 193 to 283 cm, so the same lamp can stand lower beside a path or higher on a driveway or in a park. The base of the post is 32 cm wide, and the whole set weighs 9.78 kg, or 12.82 kg packed.

The post is fixed with three bolts through ø10.5 mm holes spaced at 120° on a ø240 mm circle. The concrete foundation, the concreting and ground anchors and the foundation adapter are sold separately by the manufacturer, so the type of footing needs to be chosen and ordered together with the lantern.

Bulb and light

The lantern has an E27 lampholder and takes an LED bulb of up to 9 W in the classic A55–A60 shape. No light source is included, and the user replaces it themselves. The panes are clear, so the bulb stays visible, and you choose its colour temperature and brightness to suit the spot: 2700 K gives the warm, slightly yellow light typical of a garden lantern.

Installation and outdoor use

An IP54 rating means the lantern can stand outdoors without any cover. It is protection class II, so it needs no protective earth conductor. The terminals take conductors of up to 4 × 2.5 mm² and allow loop-through wiring, which means several lanterns along a path can share one circuit instead of each needing its own cable. The cable gland takes round cable from 6 to 12.5 mm in diameter.

The manufacturer intends MODENA 301 for gardens and parks. The MODENA series also includes a white version and lamps with two and three lanterns on one post.
