Hitra 2460BL is a small, square outdoor ceiling light with a flat body measuring 13 × 13 cm and only 6 cm high. The housing is powder-coated cast aluminium in black (RAL 9005), closed underneath by a satin safety-glass diffuser seated on a silicone gasket.
Where it is mounted
The manufacturer designed it for mounting on horizontal surfaces – the ceiling of a covered entrance, the soffit under the eaves or the roof of a carport – and for lighting the walls and facade below it. The light leaves symmetrically downwards and the ULOR is 0 %, so nothing is emitted above the fitting's own plane: no light into the sky or into the windows of the floor above.
IP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets from any direction, so the fitting needs no extra cover from rain. IK10 is the highest impact-resistance class, which matters where the light hangs low over a walkway.
How much light, and what kind
Drawing 14.5 W, the fitting delivers 1063 lm – more than an old 60 W bulb and enough to light an entrance or a section of facade. 3000 K is warm white, and the satin glass diffuses the light so the individual diodes are not visible. The LED module and driver are built in, so there is no bulb to buy.
The fitting is controlled over DALI2: dimming needs a DALI installation, and an ordinary wall dimmer will not work with it.
Mounting and connection
The light is screwed in place through two ø5 mm holes spaced 63 × 112 mm apart. It is a protection class I fitting, so it needs a protective earth conductor and should be connected by an electrician. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and allow the supply to loop through to the next fitting (up to 5 × 1.5 mm²), so a row of these lights along a facade runs on a single supply line. The manufacturer states that one circuit protected by a B 10 A breaker takes up to 46 of these fittings, and a B 16 A circuit up to 74.
