London 4112WH is a white LED pole-top head: a four-sided lantern with a pitched roof and finial, set on a stem with a decorative crossbar. The body is cast aluminium, powder-coated in white (RAL 9003). Only the luminaire is supplied; the pole is chosen separately.
Which pole it fits and how it is connected
The head measures 30 × 30 cm in plan and 56 cm in height, and slips onto a pole with a 50 mm mounting stem. The height of the light point therefore depends on the pole you choose: add the 56 cm of the head to the pole length.
The fitting comes with 4 m of H05RN-F 2 × 1 cable for the connection inside the pole, in a suitable junction box. Other mounting accessories have to be bought separately. It is a protection class II luminaire, so no protective earth is needed. The manufacturer also states that up to 100 of these fittings can run on one B16 circuit breaker, which makes a longer avenue on a single circuit easier to plan.
What light it gives
The source is an integrated Philips Fortimo LED module rated at 17.5 W and 3000 K, a warm white. The whole luminaire delivers 1392 lm, clearly more than an old 60 W bulb (about 800 lm), so it lights the area around the pole rather than just marking its position in the dark. ULOR is 0%, meaning no light escapes above the roof into the sky. A CRI of 80 is the usual level for outdoor lighting.
The fitting works on/off and is not dimmable. There is no bulb to buy, as the module is included. The manufacturer rates its lifetime at over 50,000 hours (L70), and a professional service can replace it without changing the whole head.
Form and durability
The pitched roof, the glazed frame narrowing towards the bottom and the decorative crossbar on the stem are the shape of a classic English street lantern. The manufacturer intends it for gardens, parks and other architectural settings. IP54 means protection against dust and water splashes from any direction, and IK07 means the housing withstands moderate impacts.
