The NORLYS Narvik II 1853AL is a 95 cm bollard, 24 cm in diameter, topped with a dome that shades a ring-shaped clear PMMA diffuser. The body is powder-coated cast aluminium in light grey (RAL 9006).
What light it gives
The integrated LED module draws 22.2 W, and the luminaire delivers 1475 lm at 4000 K, a neutral white. That is enough to light a path, a driveway or the area in front of an entrance, not just to mark their edges. The colour rendering index is Ra 80.
Light leaves on four sides while the dome shades it from above: 9% of the flux goes upwards (ULOR 9%, BUG rating B1-U3-G1). The luminaire is not dimmable and always runs at full output.
Installation and connection
The base is bolted down with six screws through 10 × 15 mm oval holes set every 60° on a ø172 mm circle. Ground fixings are not included: Norlys sells a concrete-in anchor (505), a concrete foundation adapter (110) and mounting adapters (3088, 6011) separately. The bollard weighs 10.43 kg.
It is protection class II, so no protective earth is needed. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 4 mm² and allow the supply to be looped through to the next bollard, and the gland takes round cable of 8–12 mm or 10–14 mm diameter. An inspection door in the body gives access to the terminals. For a longer run, allow for the 5 A inrush current: Norlys permits 31 luminaires on a B10 breaker, 50 on a B16, 52 on a C10 and 85 on a C16.
Where it fits
IP65 sealing and the top IK10 impact rating let the bollard stand where it may get knocked: by a driveway, on a terrace, along a street, or outside a hotel or restaurant. Norlys states an LED lifetime of L80 above 102,000 h and a driver lifetime of 50,000 h.
