NORLYS Rimini 402BL is a 188 cm garden lamp post with two classic lantern heads mounted on a cross arm. The post and heads are cast aluminium, powder-coated black (RAL 9005), and the lantern panes are clear UV-stabilised polycarbonate.
Which bulbs and what kind of light
Each head has an E27 lampholder for an A55–A60 shaped bulb, and the manufacturer allows an LED source of up to 9 W in it. Bulbs are not included — you need to buy two, so you choose the colour and brightness of the light yourself. The bulb is changed without a service technician, just like an ordinary bulb at home.
The panes are clear and do not diffuse the light, so the shape of the bulb is visible from outside and light leaves the lantern in all directions. This matters when choosing the bulb: its look becomes part of the look of the lantern.
Where to place it
The manufacturer designed this lamp post for lighting gardens, parks and other settings with a classic character. The arm with both heads is 56 cm wide and the whole lamp post is 19 cm deep — next to a path, position it so that the heads do not reach into the walkway. Compare the 188 cm height with its surroundings, such as the height of a hedge or fence.
IP54 means protection against dust and against splashing water from any direction, so the lamp post can stand in the garden without a roof. It is protection class II and needs no protective earth conductor.
Installation
The base is bolted down through three 10.5 mm holes spaced at 120° on a 207 mm diameter circle. The concrete anchor (405ZX0009) and the ground anchor (406ZX0009) are sold separately — the choice depends on whether the lamp post will stand on a concrete foundation or directly in the soil. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm², and the round-sheathed cable can be 6 to 12.5 mm in diameter. The lamp post weighs 7.6 kg, and if a pane gets damaged, the manufacturer offers the diffuser as a spare part (06404000).
