NORLYS Skara 2945AL Light Grey LED Bollard with 2 Sockets 230 V, 85 cm, 4000 K

The NORLYS Skara 2945AL is an 85 cm bollard made from an extruded aluminium profile, powder-coated light grey (RAL 9006). At the top a projecting head carries a downward-facing LED module, and lower on the same face sit two 230 V sockets — the bollard is a light and a power point in one.

Sockets and power

The built-in power distributor has two type E (Uni) 16 A sockets. The maker allows a load of 1 × 3600 W or 2 × 1800 W, so one bollard can feed two appliances drawing up to 3600 W together. Type E is the standard used in Poland and France; the same bollard with SCHUKO (type F) sockets is article 2953AL.

The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 4 mm², and a further fitting can be looped through at the same cross-section. The cable gland takes a round cable up to 12.5 mm in diameter.

How it lights

The 5.8 W LED module produces 828 lm, and 730 lm leaves the fitting at 7.7 W. The Ledil SCL lens spreads light to an IESNA type II/III pattern, wider along a path than across it. Only 1.73% of the flux goes upwards (BUG B1-U1-G1), so the bollard adds practically nothing to sky glow. 4000 K is a neutral white, and CRI 80 renders colours adequately.

The fitting is phase-dimmable, but it needs a trailing-edge (TE) dimmer, which is what its Philips Xitanium TE driver is designed for.

Installation, build and servicing

The bollard weighs 6 kg and fixes through four ø7 mm holes on a 64 × 64 mm pattern. The concrete anchor (article 2934) is sold separately. The housing is rated IP54 and the optical unit — LED module and lens — IP67, with IK08 impact resistance.

The LED module and driver are replaced by a professional service, and the maker stocks both as separate spare parts along with a service kit. LED lifetime to LM-80 exceeds 109,000 h (L90), and the driver is rated for 50,000 h.
