The Skara 2936BL is an 85 cm bollard light made from an extruded aluminium profile, powder-coated black (RAL 9005). The body measures 12 × 24 cm in section, and its top extends over one side like a canopy — the LED module shines down from beneath it through a clear PMMA lens.
How it spreads the light
The Ledil SCL lens gives an IESNA type II/III distribution: the light spreads along the path or driveway in front of the bollard rather than evenly all round, so the fitting is set facing the surface it lights. Norlys states ULOR 1.68% (BUG B1-U1-G1), so little light goes upwards.
The fitting delivers 699 lm for 7.7 W — roughly what an old 60 W bulb gave, but aimed at the ground. 3000 K is warm white, and flicker (Pst LM ≤1) and stroboscopic effect (SVM ≤0.4) are within EU limits.
DALI2 control
This version has a built-in DALI-2 driver (DALI2/TD): brightness is controlled from a DALI system, not with a phase-cut dimmer or a plain switch, so dimming needs a DALI controller. One B10 circuit breaker handles up to 82 of these fittings and a B16 up to 130, which helps plan a longer run of bollards on one circuit.
Installation and servicing
The bollard is bolted down with four screws through ø7 mm holes on a 64 × 64 mm pattern. The concrete anchor (article 2934) is not included and is ordered separately. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and allow further fittings to be looped, and the EPDM gland takes round cable up to 12.5 mm in diameter. It is protection class II, so no protective earth is needed.
The body is sealed to IP65 and the optical unit — LED module and lens — to IP67. IK08 means resistance to accidental knocks. Norlys rates the module at over 109,000 hours (L90) and the driver at 100,000 hours; the LED module (4699102107) and driver (4699210300) are available as spare parts for replacement by a professional service. The bollard weighs 5.5 kg, and its plain rectangular form is a modern design.
