The Skara 2950GR is an 85 cm bollard light made of extruded aluminium profile, powder-coated graphite (RAL 7016). Halfway up the body it carries two 230 V type E sockets, so besides lighting the path it gives you a power point in the garden. The plain box-section body, 12 × 24 cm, has a contemporary, Scandinavian look.
Sockets and wiring
The two type E sockets (16 A) take one appliance up to 3600 W or two at 1800 W each. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and allow the supply to loop on to further fittings, and the gland takes cable up to 12.5 mm in diameter.
The bollard is bolted down through four ø7 mm holes at 64 × 64 mm centres. The manufacturer sells the concrete anchor (2934) separately; the bollard weighs 6 kg.
Light and control
The LED module draws 7.7 W and the light delivers 617 lm at 4000 K, a neutral white, with CRI 80. The Ledil VSM lens spreads the light symmetrically all round the bollard (IESNA type V), and a ULOR of 1.94% means only a tiny fraction goes into the sky. Brightness is controlled over DALI2 — a DALI controller or gateway is needed, and an ordinary phase dimmer will not work.
Durability and servicing
The housing is sealed to IP54 with IK08 impact resistance, and the optical unit of LED module and lens is itself sealed to IP67. The LED module keeps 90% of its output for more than 109,000 h, and the driver is rated for 100,000 h. A professional service replaces both — the manufacturer lists them as separate spare parts.
