The Nowodvorski ARES 205 is a five-arm chandelier made from painted steel, finished in black with a gold patina. Curved arms, ornamental connections and candleholder-style sockets create an open arrangement without shades. Its chain suspension reinforces the traditional shape, while the gold patina picks out details against the dark frame.

Choose five separate LED bulbs

The chandelier has five E14 sockets and accepts LED bulbs only, with a maximum of 10 W per bulb. Bulbs are not included, so they need to be purchased separately. This is a fitting with replaceable light sources, not an integrated 10 W LED chandelier with a fixed output.

When selecting bulbs, compare their lumen output and colour temperature. Those specifications determine the brightness and light colour of the finished installation; the chandelier does not impose a single shade of white. The bulbs remain exposed, so their shape and glass finish also influence its appearance. The manufacturer's photographs show candle-shaped bulbs that continue the candleholder motif of the sockets.

Allow for a 50 cm-wide frame

ARES measures 50 cm across and has a maximum height of 100 cm. Compare these dimensions with your ceiling height, table position and required clearance before choosing its location. Above a dining table, consider the distance between the chandelier and the tabletop. In a hallway or living area, also check that people can move freely beneath the suspended frame.

The open arms and black-and-gold patina suit a traditionally furnished dining room, living room, bedroom or study. Traditional furniture and dark metal details provide useful visual reference points when planning the room. This is decorative general lighting rather than a directional reading light for an individual task.

Installation and cleaning

The manufacturer specifies a lamp-hanger mounting arrangement. Electrical connection must be carried out by a suitably qualified person. Switch the chandelier off and let it cool before cleaning. Use a lightly damp cloth, avoid solvents and keep moisture away from electrical connections. Leave it to dry fully before switching it on again.
