MONO SURFACE LONG II 7736 is a white recessed fitting with two cylindrical spot heads on rigid stems of different lengths — one drops 30 cm below the ceiling, the other 20 cm. The mounting frame hides inside the ceiling; what stays visible is a narrow 17 × 4 cm strip and two stems.
The opening to prepare
The cut-out is rectangular and measures 16 × 3,1 cm — a size for a suspended ceiling or plasterboard, not for a concrete slab. The 17 × 4 cm frame covers the edges of the cut.
No mounting kit is supplied, so the fixings for the particular ceiling are the installer's choice. Protection class I requires a PE earth conductor to be connected.
Two spots at two heights
Each head is 5,5 cm across and 10,5 cm long and tilts, so the light goes to two places independently — a worktop and a wall, or two pictures. The stems rotate about their axis, which moves the spacing of the heads anywhere between 17 and 31 cm and makes the fitting 34 to 39 cm tall overall.
The difference in stem length is deliberate: the bottom edges of the heads do not line up, so the pair reads as a composition rather than as two identical points.
The lamps it takes
The fitting takes two GU10 lamps in the R50 format — reflector lamps 50 mm across. Maximum power is 10 W and LED only; no lamps are supplied. Colour, brightness and beam angle come with the lamp you pick, and because the fitting throws a spot, the angle decides whether the pool of light covers a whole picture or only its centre.
Construction
The body is painted steel and painted aluminium, with ABS plastic for the secondary parts. The white is RAL 9003 paint. IP20 restricts the fitting to dry interiors, and the 220-230 V, 50/60 Hz supply matches ordinary wiring. The plain, minimalist form suits living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, bedrooms and hallways, as well as offices, studies, hotels and restaurants.
