NUMINOS PD DALI S is a pendant light shaped as a narrow cylinder, 6.5 cm across and 16.2 cm tall, in matt white, with a black reflector set into the bottom edge. It hangs on a thin 250 cm cable from a round canopy 10.3 cm across. The LED module is built permanently into the housing.
How it hangs over a worktop
The cable measures 250 cm. Set that against the distance from ceiling to worktop: over a table the bottom edge of a pendant usually sits 70–80 cm above the surface, so the light covers the top and the fitting does not block the face of whoever sits opposite.
The cylinder itself is only 6.5 cm across and weighs 0.892 kg, so several of them can hang in a row over a longer worktop without reading as a heavy block. The 10.3 cm canopy covers an ordinary junction box.
The light it gives
The module draws 7.8 W and gives 1050 lumens — more than an old 60 W bulb, which put out about 800. 3000 K is a warm white, and the 60° cone points straight down, so the light lands on a defined area rather than filling the room.
The reflector sits deep in the housing and is finished black; the UGR 19 glare rating is what follows from that — you do not look straight at the lit module even standing beside it. Colour rendering of Ra 90 means colours under this fitting read almost as they do in daylight, which counts over a worktop and over a table.
Control and changing the source
The fitting dims on the DALI standard or by touch. DALI needs its own pair of control wires run to the fitting, so this is a decision to take before the wiring goes in rather than after.
The fitting is protection class I, so it needs an earth conductor connected, and the maker reserves installation to a qualified electrician. Declared module life is 50,000 hours; replacing it, like replacing the control gear, is something the maker allows only through a professional.
