NUMINOS PD PHASE L is a pendant spot from SLV: a matt white aluminium cylinder 10 cm across and 21.3 cm tall, closed at the bottom by a black ring with a recessed lens. It hangs on a braided cable running out of a round white ceiling canopy. The LED module is built in permanently.

How high it hangs

The cable is 250 cm long and is shortened during installation, so the fitting can sit just above a worktop or high under the ceiling. The body itself takes up 21.3 cm of height — add that to whatever drop you choose.

The fitting weighs 1.278 kg, and 1.516 kg boxed. Mounting is surface: the canopy screws to the ceiling over the installation box. The manufacturer states protection class I, so an earth conductor has to reach the fitting.

The light it puts out

The built-in LED module draws 20 W and delivers 2600 lm at 4000 K — neutral white light, without the yellow cast of 2700 K. A colour rendering index of Ra 90 means colours under this light read almost as they do in daylight, which counts over a worktop and over displayed goods.

The beam is 24°, which is narrow: the fitting lights a defined surface rather than a whole room. At 1.5 m between the fitting and the worktop the pool of light is around 65 cm across — hang it higher and the pool grows while its brightness drops. The glare index UGR is no more than 16, so the fitting is suitable over a work position.

Dimming, supply and limits

The driver sits inside the fitting and it connects straight to 220–240 V — no transformer to buy separately. It dims only from a trailing edge phase dimmer; this version does not handle DALI.

The IP20 rating is for indoor use only — the fitting is not intended for a terrace or for the splash zone of a bathroom. The manufacturer permits ambient temperatures from −20 to 45 °C and rates the module at 50,000 h. You do not change the light source yourself: under the ErP declaration that is a job for a specialist.
