Hammerfest 6140AL is a post-top luminaire — a lantern head that fits on top of a pole and is sold without one. The round 55 cm diameter diffuser sits on three arms that converge into a mounting sleeve, and the whole luminaire is 76 cm tall. The body is cast aluminium powder-coated in light grey (RAL 9006), and the diffuser is satin PMMA.
Mounting and what else to buy
The luminaire fits a pole spigot of 60 mm diameter and slides onto it to a depth of 95 mm. The pole is bought separately, and the manufacturer also sells mounting adapter 154XX0010 on its own. It is connected by a 6 m H05RN-F 3G1 cable, joined in a junction box chosen to suit the pole.
The luminaire weighs 9.18 kg and has a side area of 0.1 m² — the figure a pole is sized on for wind load. It is protection class I, so it needs a protective earth (PE) conductor, and it is rated IP65, dust-tight and protected against water jets.
What light it gives
The LED module and driver are built in, and the luminaire delivers 3869 lm at 32.7 W. 3000 K is a warm white, and a colour rendering index of CRI 80 is sufficient for paths, squares and car parks. The light is diffuse and shielded from above — 1% of the flux goes skywards — and the manufacturer calculated its illuminance pattern for a 4 m mounting height, which indicates the pole on which it performs as its photometric data describe.
The luminaire is not dimmable, so it always runs at full output; control is limited to switching on and off, for example with an astronomical timer or a dusk sensor in the installation.
