Post-top luminaire HAMMERFEST 6140GR graphite LED 32.7W 3000K for ø60 mm pole Norlys

Hammerfest 6140GR is a NORLYS post-top luminaire: a lantern head that fits onto the top of a pole and is sold without the pole. The round 55 cm diffuser rests on three arms that meet in a mounting sleeve, and the whole fitting is 76 cm tall. The body is cast aluminium powder-coated in graphite (RAL 7016), and the diffuser is satin PMMA.

Mounting and what else you need

The fitting slides onto a 60 mm pole spigot to a depth of 95 mm. The pole is bought separately, as is the mounting adapter 154XX0010 offered by the manufacturer. Power comes through a 6 m H05RN-F 3G1 cable, connected in a suitably chosen junction box.

The fitting weighs 9.18 kg and its lateral area is 0.1 m², the figure used to size the pole for wind load. It is protection class I, so it needs an earth connection, and IP65, meaning a dust-tight housing protected against water jets.

What light it gives

The built-in LED module with electronic driver draws 32.7 W, and the fitting delivers 3869 lm from a source of 4311 lm. 3000 K is warm white. The light is diffused and shielded from above: 1% of the flux goes upwards, and the BUG rating is B1-U2-G1. The manufacturer calculated the light distribution for a 4 m mounting height, which tells you the pole height the photometric data refers to.

The fitting is not dimmable and works as on/off, so it suits circuits controlled by a switch, a timer or a dusk sensor.

Lifetime and service

The manufacturer states an LED module lifetime of L80 over 102,000 hours and L90 over 52,600 hours, and 100,000 hours for the driver. The LED module and driver are replaced by a professional service; spare parts include electrical kit 0961400001, LED module 4699101102 and driver 4699200102, so a fault in one part does not mean replacing the whole fitting.
